Jen & Chad: Vancouver Portraits

Yesterday afternoon, I hooked up with a bunch of  photographers in Vancouver for lunch.  After lunch, we hung around Gastown for a while looking for things to photograph for fun.  Jen & Chad (photographers from Edmonton) were looking pretty awesome – when I saw this cool looking alley with an awesome gate, I couldn’t help but take some portraits of them hanging out:-)

This session lasted 8 minutes, and was completely spontaneous.  Here’s a slideshow from the shoot (CLICK HERE IF YOU DON’T SEE IT).

Booster the Rooster

About 10 years ago, I acquired a rooster from Earl’s restaurant.  It’s been on display in various places of our home over the years, and for the longest time it’s been sitting on top of the cupboards in our laundry room.

For some reason, Ryder is fascinated with the rooster!  We call it BOOSTER…..and Ryder LOVES when we go to the laundry room to visit Booster the Rooster.  It’s so entertaining to see the big smile on his face every time he sees Booster.

Today I brought Booster and Ryder into the studio for a 5 minute shoot, and here’s what I got: (CLICK HERE if you don’t see the video)

Check out his new hairstyle!!  His hair was completely out of control, so I pulled out a pair of scissors and attempted to give him a hairstyle just like mine:-)

Katherine & Chris: Save the Date Video

What is a “Save the Date” video?  The long and the short of it is that during the engagement session, I capture video segments and create action that gets edited into a video that you can share with your friends and family instead of a “Save the Date” card!

Yesterday I posted a video showing the “behind the scenes” for the making of this video.  Today, I’m showing the final video.

Katherine & Chris had a hard time choosing between 2 different songs, so I took some extra time to edit a mix for both songs so that they could see which one they like better.

The making of a save the date video

On Tuesday, I headed out to the Steinbach area to shoot a “Save the Date” video for Katherine & Chris.  The big challenge with a session like this is that I want to get some awesome stills images, as well as great video.  Most people don’t realize how hard this is……but I’m always up for the challenge:-)

For this session, my buddy Jeremy Dueck came out as well.  Jeremy’s goal was to capture some fun video of me working the session.  Thanks a lot Jeremy for hanging out – always fun to work with you!

Katherine & Chris are getting married at Cherry Hill later on this year, and I can’t wait to work with them on their wedding day!!
