Yesterday I hooked up with Gord, Shannon and their 2 girls for a quick portrait shoot out near Abbotsford. We were shooting near the end of the day, so the sun was going down fast – made for another great opportunity to use a radio triggered strobe for some of our last shots!

Yesterday I had a great time hanging out at the beach shooting family photos! I photographed Krista & Mike’s wedding last year, and it was cool to get the entire family together for a quick beach shoot!
Who would have guessed that we’d be getting this kind of sun in February? Good thing I was prepared with an off camera strobe and my radio triggers! Personally, I am not a fan of “on camera flash” – when I use flash, I much prefer to trigger the flash using radio triggers to give it more dimension.
Lois was with me at this shoot, and she captured some video of me working using my little Flip Mino HD – so, I decided to add it into a short slideshow for the blog post. I was also testing out Apple Aperture 3.0 and the new slideshow maker. Very cool software, by the way! Check it out to see me in action

Almost a year ago, I photographed Krista & Mike’s wedding in White Rock. Today I had the pleasure of doing a shoot with Krista’s family on the beach near White Rock. I’m loving this amazing Vancouver winter for outdoor sessions like this!
