This past weekend, I had a last minute opening in my schedule – rather than taking it off, I decided that it’d be fun to help out some of my fellow photographers at their weddings.
On Saturday, I headed out to Gimli with my buddy Joel Ross. What a treat to be able to shoot wedding images without needing to be the one in charge of everything![]()
Seeing as MY shots were just “extra shots” for Joel’s wedding, I figured I’d play around a bit with my Lensbaby Composer. I don’t typically shoot wedding portraits with the Lensbaby, but after grabbing some of these shots I think that I might start pulling out this lens a bit more at my weddings.
Here’s a few of my Lensbaby shots (for the photographers out there, these shots are captured with the lens set to f4):

This next one was captured using the super wide angle adapter.

I didn’t want to shoot too many images with the Lensbaby – just in case the couple wouldn’t like the surreal effect that the lens gives. Here’s a few of my favorite shots using my regular lenses:

Thanks for having me along to your wedding Joel – I had a blast, and hope that we can make this happen again one day soon!
Stay tuned for a post about the wedding that I shot on Friday……I tagged along with Patty Boge for her awesome wedding, and have some very cool shots to show!
