I find it extremely exciting to sometimes take a break from working my own weddings, and to tag along with other professional photographers as a second shooter. Being a second shooter is completely different…..it’s much more relaxed, and practically NO stress! I love it! Being a second shooter also allows us to explore different viewpoints, and experiment with things a little big more than usual.
In my last post, I showed some of the images that I captured when shooting with my friend Joel Ross. In this post, I’ll be sharing some of the shots that I captured on Friday at Patty Boge’s wedding.
I consider it a real treat to shoot with both Joel and Patty…especially considering that both weddings happened on the same weekend!! Thanks again to both of you for having me out to your weddings – I wish I could do it more often. The entire weekend proved to be very inspirational, and I’m thankful to have such great friends like Patty and Joel to share with!
I loved the look that Amanda had going on – very Gwen Stefani. Definitely the kind of look that needs to be photographed in front of this very cool wall at Splurge Salon!

Driving behind Amanda and her Dad in the old Cadillac, how could I resist taking this panoramic shot?

Dad dropping off Amanda. I love these next few shots!

For the main part of the portrait session, we headed out to this very cool place for some GRUNGE! This location definitely isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but for those of you who are looking for something with some EDGE to it, this location could be for you! Personally, I LOVE the contrast of a gorgeous bride against the distressed backdrops.

I love when brides show their personality in the details like this!

I love car shots…..and I also love looking for reflections. So, of course how could I resist taking some of these shots?

With such a cool car, why not use it as a prop for a very cool ring shot? Yummy!

What a cute couple, huh? This man was the nicest guy ever….he was telling me that he used to photograph weddings way back in the day. He seems like he would have been a really fun wedding photographer….wish I could have seen him in action!!

Of course, he pulled out his camera to take a few shots![]()

As the ceremony approached, Amanda finally decided it was time to put on her birdcage veil. To capture the look perfectly, we pulled out my fancy flashlight from the trunk of the car to light the scene. NO….that’s not a misprint….we lit this with a FLASHLIGHT![]()

After checking out Patty’s BLOG and seeing the final Fusion video edit, I couldn’t help but re-post it here for all of you to see. During the shoot, in addition to capturing alternate angles and secondary shots for Patty, I also captured some HD video clips for her to use in the final fusion production. Patty did such an awesome job of the video edit, and I LOVE seeing how the entire day turned out. Until today, I only have seen the images that i shot….so I was completely stoked to see all of the amazing photography that Patty took and how our images merged together in the video
I encourage you to watch the entire Fusion Video…..the whole day looks SOOOO AWESOME!
