I’m so thankful to have some awesome friends who are also incredible photographers. So many people assume that us photographers would be super competitive with each other, and wouldn’t guess that many of us are very good friends. In reality, many of us photographers believe that there’s enough photography work to go around, and we actually help each other keep busy working!
One of my great photographer friends is Patty Boge (Off The Page Photography). Patty had mentioned that she’d love to have some fall portraits taken of her family, so we decided that we’d hook up for a portrait session at Kildonan Park…..the plan being that she’d shoot some images of Lois, Ryder and myself, and I’d shoot some shots of her family!
I did a similar reciprocal shoot with my buddy Joel Ross recently as well (click here to see the shots of Joel and his family)……both sessions were so much fun!

I don’t think that the shoot even lasted 40 minutes…..and that’s for both of our family sessions combined. Just a quick and simple session to get some solid shots of our families. I haven’t had a chance to look at all of the pictures that I shot, but I figured I’d post a few that immediately grabbed my attention. Here’s some shots of Patty and her family:
Part way through the shoot, the sun popped out of the clouds which is exactly what I was hoping would happen!!! Bring on the sun!!!
